Blue Base Pantry
The Blue Base Pantry is a community-focused food support initiative based in Liverpool 4, delivered in partnership with Everton in the Community, Fans Supporting Foodbanks, St. Andrew’s Community Network, and Your Local Pantry.
Established in response to increasing levels of food insecurity following the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing cost-of-living pressures, the pantry provides a dignified, sustainable model of support for individuals and families in the local area. It enables members to access nutritious, high-quality food at a significantly reduced cost, helping to ease financial pressure while promoting choice and independence.
Now recognised as one of the largest “Your Local Pantry” schemes in the UK, Blue Base Pantry plays a key role in strengthening community resilience and tackling food poverty in a holistic way. As well as providing affordable food, the service acts as a gateway to wider support, helping members to address the underlying causes of financial hardship.
In addition to food provision, the pantry connects members with a range of partner agencies offering practical advice and support, including welfare and benefits guidance, housing advice, financial inclusion services, and employability support. Organisations such as Riverside Housing, Enterprise Credit Union, Jobcentre Plus and Smoke Free Liverpool contribute to this joined-up approach. Members can also access health screening opportunities, wellbeing initiatives, and employment-focused sessions delivered through Everton in the Community’s wider programmes.

Blue Base Pantry operates every Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Blue Base, Salop Street, Liverpool, L4 4BZ.
