Safeguarding: Keeping Students Safe
At Everton Football College, the health, safety, and welfare of our students and staff is our top priority. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and vigilant environment where every child can thrive, both academically and personally.
Our Commitment
We are dedicated to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
All staff, governors, volunteers, and visitors are expected to share this commitment and maintain a safe environment.
Everyone has a responsibility to act without delay if there is any concern that a child may be at risk of harm, abuse, or neglect.
The college fosters a culture of safe practice, where inappropriate behaviour is challenged, and children are protected.
We work closely with families and partner agencies to improve outcomes for children who are vulnerable or in need, ensuring support is holistic, timely, and effective.
Safeguarding Leads and Staff Training
David James - Designated Safeguarding Lead (all college sites)
Maxine Spooner - Designated Safeguarding Leads (college and academy)
All college staff are fully safeguarding trained and undertake regular updates and training throughout the academic year to stay current with best practice and statutory guidance.
At Everton Football College, safeguarding is not just a policy, it is a core part of our culture, ensuring that students are safe, supported, and able to reach their full potential.
