UEFA accredited coaches across all sites
At Everton Football College, our coaching provision is designed to develop every player, regardless of starting point, through access to high-quality training, expert guidance, and professional-standard facilities.
Qualified and Experienced Coaches
With UEFA-accredited coaches working across all college sites, students benefit from structured, progressive coaching delivered each afternoon. Training programmes cater for a wide spectrum of ability levels, ranging from participation and development squads through to national leagues and competitive performance pathways.
Students become part of carefully selected squads and compete in leagues and competitions appropriate to their age, experience, and performance level. Coaches then design bespoke training programmes tailored to the specific needs and objectives of each squad and individual player.
Elite Training Environments
Our performance centres at Goodison Park and Vauxhall provide outstanding facilities where students train and compete throughout the week under the guidance of academy-level coaching staff.
Access to on-site gym facilities ensures that strength and conditioning is fully integrated into the player development pathway. Individualised training programmes support:
- Physical conditioning and injury prevention
- Match readiness and recovery
- Long-term athletic development
- Peak performance on match days
- Extended Performance Pathways
Alongside our sixth form provision, Everton Football College collaborates with Elite Premier Soccer and Liverpool John Moores University to coach and manage an Under-23s squad competing in the National Youth League.
Students progressing into undergraduate study can access this enhanced training environment, with additional sessions often delivered during the evening creating a clear pathway for continued football and academic development beyond sixth form.
Opportunities Beyond Playing
We recognise that success within the sports industry extends far beyond playing the game. Students who may not wish to compete still have opportunities to engage in:
- Coaching and assistant coaching roles
- Match analysis and performance support
- Sports media, reporting, and journalism experiences
These opportunities allow students to explore alternative career pathways within sport, gaining valuable practical experience and transferable skills for future study or employment.
