At Everton Sport Development & Coaching, our enrichment programme is at the heart of the student experience. Designed to challenge, inspire, and stretch you, it gives you the chance to develop skills beyond the classroom, enhancing your personal, learning, and thinking abilities while helping you grow your expertise in areas that interest you most.

While football is a central focus, our enrichment offer is diverse, ambitious, and outstanding as recognised by Ofsted in 2018. We provide a wide range of opportunities that allow students to explore new interests, gain real-world experience, and prepare for life beyond college.

Opportunities and Activities Include:

• Volunteering: Work with Everton in the Community and other local or international providers to make a real difference.
• Work Experience: Gain hands-on experience in sport development and coaching, both in the UK and abroad, with placements in countries such as China, Spain, Aruba, the United States, and South Africa.
• Leadership: Stand for the Liverpool Student Council and develop skills in representation, decision-making, and teamwork.
• Career Support: Access study skills workshops, careers advice, UCAS university application guidance, and US scholarship opportunities.
• Guest Speakers: Learn from professionals across sport, business, and other industries to broaden your perspective and inspiration.
• Pastoral Support: Benefit from personalised guidance through an assigned personal tutor.
• Fitness and Wellbeing: Access state-of-the-art gym facilities, take part in fitness challenges, and track your physical development.
• Academic Enhancement: Join study sessions, complete coaching courses and awards, and work towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

As a member of the Football College, you will put your skills into practice in real-world settings, enhancing your employability and gaining invaluable experience that sets you apart. Through practical, work-related learning, you'll not only develop your technical coaching and sport development skills but also grow essential life skills such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving.

By participating in enrichment, you may also qualify for the Everton in the Community Volunteer Awards, recognising your commitment and contribution. These awards provide a tangible record of your achievements, helping strengthen future job applications and opening doors to new opportunities.
